The Senior Software Engineer I, is a seasoned team player who will support and lead critical engineering projects, focused on system design, full stack development, and coding best practices. This position will work across different teams, and levels, offering support, expertise, and guidance on scalable solutions.

NOTE: This role will work with our U.S. Engineering & Product teams, therefore we require this role to have an advanced level of English proficiency -- both spoken and written. A part of the interview process will be in English to verify level of proficiency.

Functional and efficient code, in collaboration with other engineers and stakeholders, will develop, enhance and maintain applications that offer impressive solutions for our clients.

Software Engineers - Data

Our Software Engineers have diverse skills and coding abilities, The role of a software engineer dedicated to Data, commits its focus and expertise on managing, building and integrating various types of large data platforms. Reliable architectural structures are continuously created and improved in order to provide the business with reliable data transformation, resulting in usable decision-making information.

Your daily duties and projects will focus on your expertise to:

  • Produce clean production-ready code, evolving it to be self-documenting , ensuring alignment with overall architecture
  • Utilize abstractions and code isolation effectively, ensuring apps can be monitored using a single observability too
  • Manage all work and tools, with the focus of optimizing the lowest possible infrastructure cost, without compromising quality.
  • Work within different stacks, to implement detailed software design.
  • Maintain full ownership of projects from conception through deployment, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • When needed, provide technical leadership and mentorship, to junior team members, promoting best practices in cloud architecture and development.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, able to identify issues across different stacks, including refactor systematic issues in at least one stack
  • Provide efficient and effective solutions, towards the improvement and/or the repair of any issues,
  • Provide timely communication and responses to stakeholders, should any issue arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), ideally with experience in using the AWS Cloud
  • 2 years Development Kit (CDK) for deploying cloud infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of experience with TypeScript and NodeJS.
  • 3+ years of experience working with version control systems such as git. Ability to use Github Actions.
  • 2 years of experience in Frontend (React).
  • 3 years of experience with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Advanced level of the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to present ideas in a clean, user-friendly way, to both technical and non-technical users.

Bonus Points:

  • Payment systems such as stripe, mercado pago, etc.,
  • Experience working with Zoho and Healthie

  • This role will support our Data and Solution projects. Details differentiating each team will be shared during the interview process, to ensure we align talent with the right team.
  • An advanced level of English proficiency is required, to have successful collaboration with our U.S. teams. Please be prepared to have a conversation in English during the interview process.
