What is Forest?

We are Forest, London’s most sustainable shared eBike operator. We bridge the gap between affordability and sustainability, using our advertising revenue to offer all users 10 minutes free cycling daily. We have just raised a Series A funding round to double our fleet size in London, continuing to invest in our digital marketing proprietary tech, and starting our international expansion plans.

*This job is based in Chile (candidate must be based here), and reports to the team in Chile and the UK. Spanish and English fluency is mandatory.

What are you going to do?

Take our product stack to the next level! But how?

  • Develop and maintain our web applications using Vue 3, Nuxt 3
  • Develop our internal web-based apps such as our Fleet Operations app and our commercial management system
  • Make decisions and improvements based on strategic business needs and feedback from other teams
  • Collaborate with our marketing, operations, and commercial teams to improve our internal systems, making sure to understand business owners ideas and requirements
  • Design solutions according to high technical standards, keeping up to date with industry best practices
  • Work with the wider Technology team, collaborating with our UX Specialist and Backend Developers

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in frontend development.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant experience in front-end development.
  • Expertise in modern frontend technologies such as Nuxt 3, Vue 3, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Vuex, Pinia).
  • Proficient in consuming and building RESTful APIs.
  • Proficient in working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working with Backend as a Service (BaaS) such as Supabase or Firebase.
  • Strong understanding of Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Experience with technologies for authentication and authorization (JWT, SASL, OAuth).
  • Experience with Docker for containerization.
  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools, such as Linear, Jira, Trello, or Asana.
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively with other teams.

Bonus:

  • Knowledge of CDN best practices and experience in implementing them.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG and APCA) and best practices for inclusive design.
  • Experience deploying applications on GCP, and familiarity with other platforms (Vercel, Railway, Render).
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and tools, such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
  • Experience implementing a CI/CD pipeline for web applications.
  • Have a reasonable understanding of automated testing with tools like Vitest, Jest, or Cypress.
