The Product Owner is responsible for translating the product strategy and vision, as defined by Product Managers, into actionable development tasks. They collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure efficient, high-quality implementation of features that align with business goals and user needs.
This role serves as the primary link between the development team and business stakeholders, ensuring smooth execution, effective backlog management, and the continuous improvement of the ArchDaily platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product backlog, ensuring it is well-prioritized, refined, and up to date.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers to ensure the backlog accurately reflects business needs.
  • Provide technical feasibility assessments and contribute to decision-making regarding trade-offs and constraints.
  • Act as the bridge between Product Managers and the engineering team, ensuring clarity of requirements, feasibility of implementation, and smooth, timely feature delivery.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Proactively communicate progress, blockers, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with developers to ensure the scalability, performance, and maintainability of the platform.
  • Identify and prioritize technical debt and opportunities for platform improvements.
  • Monitor bug reports, user feedback, and performance analytics to drive iterative enhancements.
  • Ensure SEO best practices are considered in platform development and implementation.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proven ability to write user stories, define clear acceptance criteria, and maintain a well-prioritized backlog.
  • Solid understanding of web development methodologies and best practices.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its application in Agile environments.
  • Experience in managing technical debt and ensuring platform scalability.
  • Strong familiarity with project management tools such as Jira.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers on technical constraints, feasibility, and implementation details.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).

Nice-to-Have's

  • Experience working in media, content, or subscription-based platforms, with familiarity in editorial workflows and content publishing systems.
  • Knowledge of GEO optimization, including strategies to enhance content and platform performance for generative AI platforms.
  • Experience in developing AI-powered features or tools for websites.
