Lead Front-end Engineer (React & React Native) in Nisum Latam

We are seeking a talented Lead Frontend Engineer with expertise in React and React Native to join our Nisum team in Chile or Colombia. The ideal candidate will work as part of a client team based in the USA, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the web & app experiences. This role offers an opportunity to deliver exceptional user experiences while contributing to a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of responsive, high-performance frontend interfaces using React and React Native.
• Guide other team members in the planning and estimation processes
• Perform code reviews and ensure the delivery of the team goals
• Collaborate with backend engineers and product managers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality.
• Enhance existing functionality in the app & web flows.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide range of web-capable and mobile-capable devices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring application stability and a high-quality user experience.

• Must reside in Chile or Colombia
• Leadership, communication and commitment
• 4-8 years of professional experience in React and React Native development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and frontend development tools.
• Hands-on experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-platform compatibility.

• Experience with performance optimization techniques for React Native applications.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployment.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Experience with tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Metro Bundler.
