We are looking for a dedicated and driven mobile developer who can assist us in expanding, enhancing, and achieving our ambitious growth goals. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and analysts. Reporting to the Head of Engineering and the Mobile Software Engineer Lead, your main responsibility will be to develop and maintain Forest's mobile application providing our valued customers with the best possible experience.

Job functions

  • Join the development of Forest’s mobile application built with the Flutter framework.
  • Collaborate with the managers, designers, and other engineers in the concept, design, development and testing processes.
  • Deliver high-quality code.
  • Mentor and empower other developers and engineers around you.
  • Learn the latest mobile technologies and standards to ensure we always use the best techniques possible.

Qualifications and requirements

Essential Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Flutter Developer OR 3+ years of combined experience as Android/iOS + Flutter Developer
  • Proven software development experience

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience writing applications using Flutter & Dart
  • Knowledge of Android or iOS SDKs
  • Experience with TDD and testing in general
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Experience with third-party libraries and RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with Git

Cloud and Deployment:

  • Exposure to cloud-based solutions in AWS and GCP
  • Experience deploying applications to the stores through some CI/CD

Soft Skills:

  • Obsession with quality
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge of a state management system (BLOC desirable)
  • Knowledge of Platform channels
  • Experience creating and maintaining own package or plugin
  • Routing and dependency injection management with Modular
