Lucid Bots Inc. is an AI robotics company that is committed to uplifting humanity by building the world's most productive and responsible robots that perform dangerous and demanding tasks. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, we engineer, manufacture, and support our products domestically, including the Sherpa exterior cleaning and window washing drone and the Lavo Bot surface-cleaning robot. In July 2024, Lucid Bots acquired Avianna, an AI company that enables robots to understand human language and operate autonomously.

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our team at Lucid Bots. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing, have excellent vendor management skills, and experience working with ERP systems. This role requires someone who is comfortable communicating with global vendors and has a proven track record in procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee procurement processes, ensuring materials and services are acquired at the best prices and in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring high standards of service, quality, and pricing.
  • Utilize ERP systems to manage purchasing activities, track inventory levels, and streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with sales and manufacturing teams to forecast demand and ensure the timely availability of materials.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to optimize payment terms and conditions, while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify new suppliers and assess overall procurement strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong vendor management skills with a track record of successful negotiations.
  • Proficient in the use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT).
  • Proficient in the use of ERP systems and understanding of procurement software.
  • Comfortable working with international vendors and managing cross-cultural communication.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written) and able to convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with procurement regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in developing procurement policies and strategies.
