Job functions

Overview:
Directly collaborate with notaries and the CTO to digitize and enhance notary processes using AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with Notaries: Understand their workflows and pinpoint automation opportunities.
  2. Full-Stack Development: Design and deploy solutions optimizing both frontend and backend components.
  3. Harness AI: Use artificial intelligence to advance and refine automation processes. At the level of implementation.
  4. Reporting: Regularly update the CTO on progress, hurdles, and achievements.
  5. Stay Updated: Embrace the latest in development and AI to ensure state-of-the-art solutions. At the level of implementation.
  6. Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and tests, ensuring reliability and scalability.
  7. Team Synergy: Collaborate seamlessly with developers, data scientists, and other stakeholders.
  8. Feedback Mechanism: Maintain a feedback loop with notaries for continuous refinement.

Success Metrics:
Evaluate performance based on the efficiency of implemented solutions, feedback from notaries, and alignment with company goals. Also, weigh factors like timely delivery and code quality.

Qualifications and requirements

Technical Skills:

  1. Languages: Proficient in both Python and JavaScript.
  2. Frameworks: Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, and React Js is essential.
  3. Microservices & Node JS: Familiarity with microservices architecture and Node JS using Typescript. While the focus will be on projects related to the notary side, an understanding of our main architecture will be beneficial.
  4. Machine Learning Familiarity: Not responsible for the machine learning pipeline but should be competent in understanding Python-written code and assisting in building parts of the logic.
  5. AWS Services: A foundational understanding of AWS services, notably lambda functions, SES, Mongo Atlas, API Gateway, and IAM. No direct interaction with the infrastructure is required, but the candidate should comprehend the role of each service.
  6. Version Control & CI/CD: Proficiency in git is crucial. The candidate should also be familiar with continuous integration, pipelines, and other associated best practices.

Soft Skills & Other Requirements:

  1. Analytical Thinking: Ability to understand complex systems, troubleshoot issues, and think critically about software solutions.
  2. Collaborative Approach: Given the cross-functional nature of the projects, the candidate should work seamlessly with various teams, including those handling machine learning and infrastructure.
  3. Continuous Learning: As technologies and methodologies evolve, the candidate should show a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  4. Communication: Effective communication skills, especially when it comes to breaking down technical jargon for stakeholders who might not be technically oriented.

Desirable skills

  1. Experience with Other Cloud Platforms: While AWS is our primary platform, familiarity with other cloud services like Azure or Google Cloud could be advantageous.
  2. AWS Certification: While we value hands-on experience, an AWS certification, either at the associate or professional level, can demonstrate a structured understanding of cloud services.
  3. Frontend Frameworks: Knowledge of other popular frontend frameworks beyond React, such as Vue or Angular.
  4. Database Expertise: While we primarily use Mongo Atlas, experience with other databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL could be beneficial.
  5. English Proficiency: While English is necessary for the main role, advanced proficiency or bilingual capabilities can enhance communication with diverse teams or international partners.
  6. UI/UX Design: An eye for user interface and user experience design can provide an added layer of depth when developing front-end components.
