About This Role:

The Lead Software Engineer will lead a team of software engineers. Responsibilities include:

· Recruit for and retain extraordinary engineering talent and create an inclusive team culture.

· Coach, mentor, and develop a diverse, inclusive, and equitable team by creating growth opportunities for the team of talented engineers of all levels and continue nurturing their development.

· Work closely with product owners, project managers, and other partners to ensure we deliver a compelling user experience.

· Participate in technical discussions and work cross-functionally to coordinate with other technology teams to create the right solutions, manage expectations, and keep strategies aligned.

· Establish and carry out engineering norms that are customized for the team's needs.

· Work with other managers throughout the organization on cross-team initiatives and projects

· design and solve real customer problems in way that meets the needs of the business.

· Inspirational leadership - Comfortable organizing and rallying teams against an aligned objective; a servant leader that builds sustainable, empowered teams

· Stakeholder management - highly skilled in building and managing stakeholder relationships to influence and drive collaborative agreement with product, data science, and other cross functional business partners

· Advanced level knowledge in the development of engineering metrics to show sustained success - both quantitative and qualitative

· Highly skilled in leading Discovery Process sessions with key stakeholders

· Ability to translate a technology initiative into a business outcome

· Lead the development, championing and evangelizing of a tech strategy and roadmap for the product(s) you own, based on the needs of the business

· Lead integration of third-party capabilities / APIs into the product

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

· 9+ years relevant engineering experience, including leading teams and people

· Experience with modern software engineering practices a must. Demonstrate knowledge and experience in: APIs, Microservices, CI/CD, SRE concepts.

Media / Adtech specific experience:

Experience in areas similar to the following would be preferred:

· Product Development

o Preferably on the demand side (DMP, DSP)

o But secondarily on the supply side (SSP, Exchange, Ad Server)

· AI, ML Engineering (for adtech and datatech)

· Signal Pattern Recognition & Algorithmic Optimization

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

· Highly skilled in managing cross-functional software development teams in an agile environment

· Highly skilled in managing business priorities against design/user needs while delivering against product roadmaps

· Highly skilled in managing end-to-end software product development and releases

· Stakeholder management skills - highly skilled in building and managing VP and Director level stakeholder relationships to influence and drive change

· Problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills

· Planning, organizational and time management skills

· Comfort with ambiguity - remains confident, positive and resourceful in the face of ambiguity and unexpected results; recovers quickly from setbacks

· Exhibits qualities of and have proven to be a great teammate

· Verbal and written communication skills, ability to translate between business and technical

· Technical acumen - grasps the technical details to lead a product and/or program
