The Role

As a Senior Back-End C# Engineer, you will be instrumental in building and optimizing the network layer of Kuroro Wilds, ensuring a smooth and engaging online experience. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and artists to implement and refine gameplay features that will become the backbone of our community's online adventure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust and scalable multiplayer systems using C# and Gamemaker Studio 2 engine.
  • Design and implement server infrastructure to support high-traffic, real-time multiplayer interactions.
  • Collaborate with the gameplay team to integrate networked features and ensure synchronization across various game systems.
  • Identify and resolve networking and performance issues, prioritizing stability and low latency.
  • Stay ahead of the curve with the latest networking technologies and best practices to continuously improve our multiplayer offering.

Must Haves
  • 5+ years of experience in multiplayer game development, ideally with shipped titles.
  • Strong game development experience, demonstrating proficiency in game design or programming principles.
  • Expertise in C# programming.
  • Functional English communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a timezone within ±5 hours of Chile.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Strong experience with network protocols, socket programming, and server-client architecture.
  • Lives in Chile or +/- 3 hours timezone
  • Advanced English level.

  • Experience with creature-capture games or action RPGs.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the game development community.
