We are seeking an experienced Bioinformatician /Computational scientist to lead the protein design and engineering efforts at Aanika.
The candidate will play a key role in developing and optimizing bioinformatic workflows and computational methods for the rational design of proteins. Experience in protein-ligand docking is highly desired. The candidate will work closely with the wet lab to validate candidate molecules for their use in our proprietary platform.
Lead protein design and engineering and build and manage a team of bioinformaticians/computational scientists.
Develop and optimize bioinformatic pipelines for the rational design of proteins.
Effectively communicate results to internal stakeholders and externally via publications, presentations and patent filing.
PhD in Bioinformatics, computer science or related field with 3+ years of post-graduate experience in developing bioinformatic workflows for the rational engineering of proteins.
Skills in computational programming and proficiency in Python, R/Bioconductor or other languages is required. Experience in Machine Learning and/or AI is a plus.
At least 2 first author publications in the area of bioinformatic workflows applied to rational engineering of proteins, protein structure prediction, protein-ligand docking, or closely related areas.
The candidate will be required to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a part of a team is a must.
