Senior Developer in VOIQ

The core responsibilities of the Senior Developer will be to work with the VOIQ team in order to meet our ambitious software development goals, come up with creative solutions to technical challenges, and work closely with the CTO and CPO in the analysis and design of new website components.

Our architecture consist of a custom built REST API and a MySQL dbase.  We perform multiple API integrations with multiple third parties. Our website is built on responsive design and we have native smartphone applications (iOS & Android).

QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of development experience
• Strong PHP5 experience
• Strong database skills and experience with MySQL
• Advanced knowledge of jQuery, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript
• Amazon AWS virtual servers
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task
• Team player
• Ability to take initiative, to be productive and efficient
• Adaptive learner who view new challenges as opportunities
• Experience mentoring other developers
• Able to speak English on a working level or better

Additional experience we value:

• Mobile application development
• Experience with HTML5
• Knowledge of GIT repositories
• Basic knowledge of Apache console
• Knowledge of payment processing platforms (PayPal, etc.)
• API integrations
• Solid frontend web experience: XHTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, XML and AJAX
• Twitter Bootstrap framework is a plus
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles
• Agile methodology experience (TDD/BDD/XP/Scrum)

We are a San Francisco-based tech startup, however this position is based in Colombia. We have an office in Bogota, but the Senior Fullstack Developer can work from any Colombian city remotely.  This position is full-time.
