Core Responsibilities
• Architect and implement comprehensive automated testing frameworks across multiple
feature domains
• Lead strategic test planning for complex epics and feature sets, considering technical
dependencies and risk mitigation
• Design and optimize scalable test solutions ensuring reliability and maintainability
• Drive defect prevention strategies and quality initiatives across multiple teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to identify and address testing bottlenecks
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test coverage strategies
• Balance quality objectives with release timelines effectively
• Act as a quality champion, embedding quality principles early in the development lifecycle
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and automation frameworks
• Represent QA interests in architectural discussions and technical decisions
Team Collaboration
• Contribute and participate in opportunities for technical innovation and experimentation
• Collaborate with product owners on feature requirements
• Participate in hiring and interviewing processes
Growth & Development
• Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions for test automation
• Mentor junior engineers in testing best practices and automation
• Drive quality initiatives across multiple teams
• Provide technical guidance on testing strategies
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives and standards
The engineer software tester independently drives testing initiatives while contributing to team excellence. As a software test engineer, you'll implement automated testing solutions, optimize test coverage, and mentor junior engineers.
