Job functions

We are looking for Senior Python Developer with experience with adevanced Python coding that will help us with the development of products for our Mexico and USA clients.
Some of your job functions, but not the only ones, will be:
  • Work as a collaborative team, mentoring and training the junior team members.
  • Build and work on/around data governance standards.
  • Work with open-source technologies as well as commercialized platforms.
  • Influence and communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with team members and business stakeholders.

Qualifications and requirements

Required experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing, developing, building high impact web solutions. Ideally with over +1M users.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in advanced Python coding using advanced modules, Django, Rest Framework, and other libraries.
  • 2+ years of Experience in developing data solutions in AWS cloud using one or more relevant technologies such as S3, Lambda, AWS Data Lake, Athena, Redshift, Python, Airflow, Linux etc.
  • Experience in REST API technologies and patterns.
  • Experience with traditional relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with different file formats including JSON, CSV, Parquet, mainframe files.
  • Experience with both normalized and dimensional data models, hands-on knowledge of other data integration techniques such as database replication, change data capture (CDC).
  • 3+ years of experience and strong hands-on knowledge and the ability to explain coding best practices using Python, code management, credential management
  • Experience in SQL especially using stored procs and as analysis tools
  • Experience in working with JIRA/GitHub and other code management toolsets
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps solutions using Jenkins, Github
  • Experience using AWS CloudFormation, Docker and MicroServices architectures
Required Skills:
  • Strong problem solving and analytical mindset
  • Able to influence and communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with team members and business stakeholders
  • Should be a self-starter and team player, capable of working with a team of architects, co-developers, and business analysts

Desirable skills

Nice to have skills:
  • AWS Developer or Architect Certifications (Preferred by Amazon, but 3rd Party Considered)
  • Prefer any experience with ETL and data transfer technologies like Talend, Informatica, Spark, Kafka
  • Ability to work as a collaborative team, mentoring and training the junior team members
  • Working knowledge on building and working on/around data governance standards
  • Passion for working with open-source technologies as well as commercialized platforms
