IT Team Leader in Day Translations, Inc.

Job Description - We are seeking a talented and experienced information technology team leader to join our team. If you are an experienced, proactive, organized, detail-oriented and accountable information technology team leader with excellent communication skills in English, please read our requirements carefully and apply for this exciting position. You will need to work hands-on along with a small team in system administration tasks, but as a team leader, you will also provide support to the other system administrators and distribute tasks.

• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation and performance of systems, network servers, and virtualization
• Install and upgrade software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the systems.
• Delegate duties and tasks within the team and review completed tasks to ascertain compliance with standards.

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
• Proficient experience in managing cloud (AWS is must) servers - Auto scaling, fundamental understanding of security management, performance monitoring, backup automation
• Knowledge and experience in the management of CD/CI tools such as Jenkins
• Understanding of Office 365 basics plus advanced concepts - mail auditing, filtering, Spam prevention etc.
• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are needed for the position
• Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines.
• Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Decision making skills.

• Cybersecurity knowledge is a plus
• A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans is a plus
