Quality Automation Engineer in Encora

One of the key responsibilities of the Senior Quality Automation Engineer is to lead the design and implementation of robust test automation frameworks. This involves utilizing technologies such as Cypress, Selenium, or Encora's AvanTest to automate testing procedures across the entire technology stack. By implementing efficient and reliable automation frameworks, the engineer will contribute to accelerating the testing process and reducing manual effort, thus increasing overall productivity.

In addition to designing and implementing automation frameworks, the Senior Quality Automation Engineer will conduct thorough testing across the technology stack. This includes testing components developed in Java, Next JS, Elixir, as well as those deployed on Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS. By conducting comprehensive testing, the engineer ensures that the software solutions are thoroughly evaluated for functionality, performance, and compatibility across different environments.

• Collaborate closely with the nearshore Technical Lead and Encora engineers to ensure the quality of deliverables meets client expectations.
• Lead the design and implementation of robust test automation frameworks using technologies such as Cypress, Selenium, or Encora's AvanTest.
• Conduct thorough testing across the technology stack including Java, Next JS, Elixir, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
• Participate actively in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Communicate effectively with the client's engineering team, located in the US central timezone, to address any quality-related issues and ensure alignment on project goals.
• Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• More than 4 years of experience in Software projects.
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, with a focus on test automation, preferably in a nearshore or distributed team environment.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or willingness to learn Encora's AvanTest.
• English oral skills is a must.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different time zones.
• Familiarity with Java, Next JS, Elixir, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS is a plus.
