Cyber Security Specialist in Bow River Solutions

As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our company’s digital assets and ensuring the security and integrity of our network and applications. You will be responsible for conducting vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, performing risk analysis, and implementing security measures to protect against potential threats. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere, providing you with the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.

• Conduct regular penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in our systems and applications. Develop detailed reports with findings and remediation plans.
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate potential security threats and weaknesses. Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and secure our network infrastructure. Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security measures.
• Ensure the security of our software applications through code reviews, security testing, and implementing best practices.
• Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices. Continuously improve our security posture through ongoing education and training.

• 4+ years of proven experience in cyber security, with a focus on penetration testing, risk analysis, and network and application security.
• Native or professional English level
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security frameworks.
• Experience with cyber security tools such as Metasploit, Nessus, Wireshark, Burp Suite, and others.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think like an attacker.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP) are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
