Full-Stack Engineer (Rails/React) in TECLA

We are looking for a highly skilled Full-Stack Engineer (Rails/React) to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will work closely with an existing team of engineers under an Engineering Manager, contributing to the development and optimization of internal tools. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a remote, collaborative environment aligned with US business hours.

• Develop internal tools to support operational and customer support teams.
• Optimize application performance by addressing slow functionalities, improving database queries, and eliminating inefficiencies.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs.
• Work within an existing large-scale Ruby on Rails codebase, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders using tools like Slack, Notion, JIRA, and GitHub.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong proficiency in database query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with Sidekiq, Docker, ReactJS, and Datadog is a plus.
• Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work full-time, remotely, within US time zones.
• Must provide and be willing to wipe a modern MacBook for security compliance.
• Comfortable working in a structured, team-oriented environment with 3-4 other engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working within the healthcare technology sector or with Electronic Health Records (EHR) integrations.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and cloud-based deployment processes.
• Proven ability to adapt and contribute to an evolving codebase in a fast-paced environment.
