Cordada is a high-growth fintech company dedicated to empowering small and medium businesses (SMBs/PyMEs) across Latin America. With a focus on providing quality financing, our goal is to collaborate with local lenders to deliver innovative financial solutions that meet the unique needs of diverse markets. We are not just a funding provider; we are a partner in growth, leveraging technology and expertise to enhance customer service. Joining Cordada means becoming part of a dynamic environment that prioritizes employee well-being and promotes a healthy work-life balance. If you share our passion for helping Latam's PyMEs thrive, this is the place for you! 🌟

What you will do day-to-day

  • Help build and drive improvements in performance, reliability, and scalability in our infrastructure.
  • Build tools to automate the entire software development lifecycle, from linters and static type checkers, to CI/CD pipelines and beyond.
  • Manage our application and infrastructure monitoring systems, making sure that everything that matters is appropriately monitored, and that there are no blind spots.
  • Triage application and infrastructure monitoring alerts so that critical issues receive the attention they deserve.
  • Troubleshoot application performance issues yourself, or help your fellow developers do it.
  • Manage and improve our infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Keep our systems secure by ensuring that security best practices are followed and vulnerability alerts are fixed in a timely manner.
  • Triage security advisories so that our team prioritizes fixing those issues with the highest impact.
  • From time to time, implement features to satisfy business requirements. You are a software engineer after all!

About you

You are a software engineer that thinks that programming skills are not just for developing software applications, but also for managing infrastructure and automating everything in-between. You have fun implementing features in backend applications, writing scripts for CI/CD pipelines, or provisioning virtual machines to run a containerized application.
Your minimum qualifications include:
  • A university degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • English (reading and writing).
  • Experience coding in an industry-standard language, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with Linux. You know your way around a terminal.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of Internet service architectures, such as load balancers, proxies, CDNs, etc.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to identify your knowledge gaps and fix them yourself.

Nice to have

Experience with the following technologies is considered a plus:
  • Infrastructure management: Terraform
  • Infrastructure orchestration: Kubernetes
  • Monitoring tools: Datadog, Sentry
  • CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions
  • Containerization: Docker
  • Programming languages: Python, JavaScript, C#
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Data warehousing: Google BigQuery
  • Workflow orchestrators: Airflow
  • IaaS providers: Google Cloud, AWS

What you can expect

At Cordada, you will work in the same team as our other software engineers: The Engineering Team. There is no separate “Infrastructure Team”; everyone is expected to have at least some awareness of where our production applications run, but some people (like you!) are expected to have an advanced understanding of that.
An agile but disciplined technical environment, where CI/CD pipelines with failing tests are not ignored, and nobody edits code directly in production.
Beyond challenging work, you will enjoy benefits like hybrid work options, time off for your birthday, enhanced health insurance, summer hours, early Friday departures, a moving day off, extended parental leave, access to a snack machine, and a monthly budget for your use. Join us and make a lasting impact in our mission to uplift SMBs in Latin America! 🌟
